Rental Terms and Prices
These terms apply when you rent a power bank from a D&I Charge station. By tapping your card to rent, you agree to them.
How renting works
- Tap your card on the station. The station releases a charged power bank.
- Use it to charge your phone or other devices.
- Return it to an open slot in the same station you rented it from, within 48 hours. Your rental ends when the station accepts the power bank.
Prices
You pay $1 for every 10 minutes, or part of 10 minutes, that you have the power bank. The price never goes over $4.99 in the first hour. After the first hour, $1 is added to the $4.99 for every 10 minutes, or part of 10 minutes, until the price reaches $8.99, and it stays at $8.99 for the rest of the 48 hours. You’re charged once, when you return the power bank.
| Returned within | You pay |
|---|---|
| 10 minutes | $1.00 |
| 20 minutes | $2.00 |
| 30 minutes | $3.00 |
| 40 minutes | $4.00 |
| 1 hour | $4.99 |
| 1 hour 10 minutes | $5.99 |
| 1 hour 20 minutes | $6.99 |
| 1 hour 30 minutes | $7.99 |
| 1 hour 40 minutes | $8.99 |
| 48 hours | $8.99 |
| Not returned within 48 hours | $35.00 replacement fee |
If you don’t return it within 48 hours
If the power bank isn’t back in the station you rented it from within 48 hours of your rental, we charge the card you rented with a $35 replacement fee at the end of those 48 hours, instead of the rental price. The power bank is then yours to keep.
Payment
Nothing is charged when you take the power bank. When you return it, we charge the card you tapped for the time you had it, as shown above. If it isn’t returned within 48 hours, we charge the $35 replacement fee instead. You’re never charged both.
Your bank may show a temporary authorization when you tap. It isn’t a charge. It’s released or replaced by your final price, and how quickly it disappears from your statement depends on your bank.
Card payments are processed by Stripe. We don’t receive or store your full card number. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle payment and rental information.
Using the power bank safely
- Use it only to charge your own devices.
- Don’t open, puncture, crush or heat it, and keep it away from water.
- If it gets hot, swells, smells or looks damaged, stop using it and return it or contact us.
